Vote online or by phone
To vote online or by phone you need a PIN which you will receive by mail. If you did not receive your PIN, you can contact HRM’s election office and they will make sure you are on the list and provide you with a PIN over the phone and if necessary they will email it to you securely.

Once you have your PIN, you can visit halifax.simplyvoting.com between 8am on October 8 and 7pm on October 16.
Voting at Advance Polls or on Election Day
Paper ballots are only available on Election Day, October 18th.
During Advance Voting days votes are cast online using devices provided by the municipality on site at advance polling locations.
You should bring your Voter Information Letter with you to vote in person. If you did not receive one, call (902) 490-VOTE (8683) to check to see you are on the list, to be added to the list.
You can vote in person, in advance on Saturday, October 12 and Tuesday, October 15 from 12pm to 8pm.
You can vote in person, on Election Day, Saturday, October 19 from 8am to 7pm
